|                  |          In some ways I don't like separating out lung cancer  in nonsmokers from that in smokers.  It seems that informing the  public that lung cancer does occur in nonsmokers, rather than  decreasing the stigma, actually adds to it.  But there are  important differences when it comes to symptoms, lung cancer types,  and prognosis that make talking about the differences  necessary.
