It's a common myth that lung cancer only occurs in people who smoke, but that is very much a myth. In fact, the majority of people who develop lung cancer are non-smokers, meaning that the either never smoked or quit long ago. That said, I don't want to raise this subject to separate to types of people with lung cancer. Everyone with lung cancer -- whether a never smoker or a lifelong smoker -- deserves our care, love, and support.
