What I Wish Everyone Knew About Lung Cancer | There is so much information about lung cancer I'd love to share with every single person I meet. Yes, lung cancer occurs in never smokers - in fact, lung cancer in young, never smoking women is increasing. At the same time, even if someone has smoked for 50 years they don't deserve lung cancer. Contrary to common public thought, more women die from lung cancer than breast cancer. But more importantly, progress is finally being made in treatment, and there are long-term survivors of lung cancer, even stage 4 lung cancer. Best wishes until next week, Dr. Lynne | | |

Who Should Be Tested for Gene Mutations With Lung Cancer ? | I can't share this article enough. It's now thought that everyone who has lung adenocarcinoma (50% of non-small cell lung cancers) and everyone who is a nonsmoker regardless of cancer type, should have gene profiling done on their tumor.
