New Steps in Lung Cancer Treatment
Recent discoveries and advances in lung cancer treatment are incredibly exciting.  With these advances we are getting closer to that point when, hopefully, we will be able to treat lung cancer as a chronic disease, such as diabetes.  At the same time, it's more important than ever to take an active and empowered role in your health care.  Your life may depend on it.

Genetic Testing for People with Lung Cancer

It's recommended that everyone with lung adenocarcinoma have gene testing to see if they have an EGFR mutation, an ALK rearrangment, or a ROS1 mutation for starters, in order to find out if the newer targeted therapies might be an option.  Unfortunately, there are still many people who qualify for testing (and may respond to these treatments) who have never been tested.  Read more
