From Lynne Eldridge MD, your Guide to Lung Cancer

Cancer is an "emotional disease" to stay the least.  No matter what anyone has studied or believes, this crossroad between life and death shakes us to our core.  How can you cope (or help a loved one cope) with this emotional tsunami while addressing the physical sides of treatment?

Best wishes until next week, Dr. Lynne

Integrative Cancer Treatments - A Mind Body Approach to Emotional Healing

If you are coping with the emotional mudslide of cancer, you've probably figured out that traditional Western medicine is lacking.  Is there a pill to help cope with the fear of dying?  Is there a pill that eases anxiety without side effects or risk of addiction?  You need not lose hope.  Some alternative therapies have been found to make a big difference when it comes to coping with those emotions, thoughts, and feelings.

Lung Cancer Smoker's Guilt

If you ever smoked, do you ever feel guilty?  Time to get rid of that guilt ASAP (translated "as soon as possible".)  We have ALL done things that aren't healthy - even the doctor who is helping you survive may be likely of being a "workaholic."  (Thank you to a special doctor that shared that thought with me.)  Check out these tips to get past any guilt you feel, and focus your efforts on healing.

Cancer and Suicide

When we think of people with cancer, we think about how hard people work, and what they endure to stay alive.  But suicide in cancer patients isn't uncommon, and it often occurs early on after a diagnosis.  What do you need to know today?

15 Ways to Reduce Stress

If you've watched the news, you may have heard that people with breast cancer get stressed out much more easily.  I know the study wasn't done on people with lung cancer, but I have to believe the results would be the same.  Until we see those studies (and those of us who are advocates fight for more studies looking at people with lung cancer) what are some things you can do to cope with that increased stress level?
