 New treatments are available for people with advanced lung cancer that weren't available in years past.  But with options comes another painful decision.  When is it time to stop active treatment?  In other words when do the side effects and time required for treatment interfere with the chance to live your last days fully?  On a lighter note, what are some New Year's resolutions for people living with lung cancer and their caregivers, and what does "gene testing" and "inheritance" mean with regards to lung cancer?  Best wishes until next week, Dr. Lynne
