It's important to stand up and have a voice at the injustice of Medicare's current status on lung cancer screening, yet some of you in the midst of treatment don't need to read a discussion about screening.  If you are one of the 30% of people with lung cancer who has developed a malignant pleural effusion, what does this mean?  And for everyone living with lung cancer, what should you stop doing to lower your stress and improve your happiness during treatment?

Reasons Medicare Should Cover Lung Cancer Screening

 Even though many medical organizations, including the American Medical Association, recommend lung cancer screening in people who meet the criteria, Medicare does not currently cover this service.  Why?  What impact could lung cancer screening have in the United States if the procedure were covered? 


10 Things to Stop Doing if You Have Lung Cancer

There is so much you need to do after a diagnosis of lung cancer, but what should you stop doing?  Don't worry, this list doesn't even mention diet, exercise, or even smoking.  For example, "stop trying to be positive all the time."
