Do Statins Affect Lung Cancer Survival?

 It's an exciting time for lung cancer.  The number of new treatments recently approved for lung cancer and the number of promising clinical trials is unlike anything in the past.  Not only did the recent LUNGevity HOPE Summit leave me breathless as I thought of the number of lung cancer survivors present who just a few years back wouldn't have had the opportunity to be alive - but I felt a joy unlike anything before at a summit, thinking about people around me who I'd probably see again - because of clinical trials making a difference today.  Clinical trials that in some cases are simply finding ways of reminding our own immune systems to do what they had once done so well - fight off cancer cells.
